Gina has been a dancer for many years, and was first introduced to Pilates in college, as part of her dance major. She appreciated the way the mat exercises elongated and strengthened her core, an area she had always struggled with. Multiple car accidents had weakened her spine, and Pilates was one of the tools that helped bring balance back to her body. In 2000, Gina and her husband moved to the Twin Cities, where Gina participated in the scholarship program with Zenon Dance Company, and continued her pilates training. She became certified through the Physical Mind Institute shortly after and began teaching at Lifetime Fitness. She also offered in-home/office private lessons to clients. Gina took some time off from teaching to begin a family in 2006, and her small family relocated to Holland in 2009. It didn't take long for her to meet up with Mandy at one of Mandy's "Movin' Mama" classes, and soon after they were teaching together at Avalon School of the Arts. Gina enjoyed taking Mandy's mat and barre classes, and also took advantage of her private lessons to further strengthen her core. Gina is thrilled to be back at it, teaching with Mandy at Pilates in Holland!
